Working with Requesting Doctors

Sydney Echo Clinic welcomes request forms from general practitioners, cardiologists, specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. We provide transthoracic and stress echocardiograms with a focus on diagnostic quality, efficiency, and clinical value. All studies are performed in accordance with current guideline-based protocols, using high-resolution ultrasound equipment operated by experienced professionals. Our goal is to support clinical decision-making through accurate, reliable cardiac imaging.

Available Tests

Transthoracic Echocardiogram

A non-invasive ultrasound assessment of cardiac structure and function. Common indications include:

  • Cardiac Assessment
  • Known or suspected structural or valvular heart disease
  • Chest pain
  • Dyspnoea
  • Palpitations
  • Cardiac murmurs

Stress Echocardiogram

Stress echocardiography plays an important role in identifying wall motion abnormalities in the assessment of ischaemic heart disease. It is also used in the evaluation of:

  • Investigation of chest pain
  • Investigation of shortness of breath on exertion
  • Investigation of syncope
  • Clinical features of heart failure (with clinical suspicion of heart failure)

How to Request a Test

All request forms are accepted. They must state the tests required. Request forms can be sent to us via:

To ensure Medicare eligibility and prompt processing, request forms must include:

  • Patient’s full name and date of birth 
  • Patient contact details (phone and/or email)
  • Clinical indication or reason for the request
  • Date of the request
  • Requesting practitioner’s name and either Practice address or Provider number.

On receival of a request form, our team will contact the patient directly to arrange their appointment.
